Day 4 - I’m Home

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.” Psalm 84:10

All these days seem like everything happens but also nothing. I got a big breakfast at the hotel and stashed a bunch of bars for later the next few days. I had 40 to get to church and I really had to grind. I kept praying that God would give me the strength I need to get there and He did. Got there with 1 minute to spare. The service was interesting. There wasn’t any sermon and I was probably the youngest person in the 25 person congregation by about 50 years. I was sad to not have a sermon at a church! After that I had 100 miles to go. I was seeing Jacob later so I wanted to get there with plenty of time. I felt oddly energized but also tired. Kinda strange. Andrew Backer called and that was great talking to him. I called Mom and then got to talk to Ainsley for quite some time too. Then Mom called again and Caleb. I was riding to church and was listening to a song  and had my first tears of the trip. I don’t know why but it seemed from an overwhelming of God’s presence and a desire to be with people again. Not much happened the rest of the ride. Just a frustrating shoulder with so many bumps. A little toastier than I’ve been used to. When I got to camp, Jacob Elsen came out  to see me. It was such a blessing to have him there. Just to take my mind off being alone. Truly incredible just to talk with someone I know. Heading to bed. A little shorter ride today so hopefully I have a longer one in me tomorrow!!
