Day 23 - How Deep the Father’s Love for Us

“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.” John‬ ‭6‬:‭37‬

Woke up. Got my favorite breakfast. Hotel breakfast. Stomach felt amazing. Got going. Called Mom. Great morning. I got to talk to Dad as well. It’s always so good to reflect on my time out here. Today was a lot of that which was necessary. Beautiful morning in the mountains. Some wind. I made 2 people walk into each other as I rode past them because they were staring at me lol. No one has clif bars here. I made it to gas at 75 which was the turnoff for the Cassier highway. This is the highway with no cell service. Got to call mom and dad and say good bye. Got some pizza too. Got take with some Canadians and learned they don’t like America. But just cause of “one orange guy”. Pretty funny hearing their thoughts on making Canada a 51st state.  Made it to a grocery store cause no one has clif bars. Got to call Mimi and Papa. Such an encouragement. I found out that the reason for no clif bars and generally unhealthy options at gas stations and grocery stores is that it’s a lot of reservation (First Nation Establishments) land and the people don’t eat healthy here. Pretty sad. Got to talk to Caleb and then entered the dead zone. Felt good to take it easy today. Lots of time for reflection on this trip and my life both future and past. So grateful to God for what he has brought me through and will bring me through. The road is quiet too which I love. Had some headwinds but made it to the campsite and met another Dutch family who was so friendly, let me use their starlink for WiFi and got me a coke! Got to call mom and dad to which was a welcome surprise. Overall great day. Pretty easy. Ready for tomorrow! 2nd time I’ve gotten offered beer too 💪💪

Today's ride: 121 miles (195 km)
Total: 3,119 miles (5,020 km)

Evan WilliamsAs much as I love a good brood beer, I would not recommend it to you during this little adventure you take. If you think you've had problems with your innards the last few days, maybe the worst thing you could do. The other hand, having a few cold ones with new friends over a campfire pretty hard to pass up. Sounds like you're meeting a real a nice selection of great people, mostly not American, which is the best thing you can have in this world today. The Dutch seem very friendly for you. Don't worry about the Canadians and being the 51st state, the orange monster here, will never get that through Congress! Also do you see your dad? Can't believe you've already gone 3,000 miles you'll have a good nickname when you get back to school, iron butt!
