Day 11 - How Majestic Is Your Name
“When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?”…”O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:3-4 & 9
Emotions were all over the place today. And yes I’m posting this a day late. So sorry. I started and winds were pretty brutal for the opening 25. It was frustrating but we got through it. I got chased by about 15 dogs at one time in Browning and as I looked around me to see where they were, I almost ran over a sleeping one! So scary. It’s sad passing through reservation towns. A couple homes completely burned through. A lot of poverty. It’s sad to think how many thousands of tourists pass by each year to get to Glacier and not even care. Sad. I met a guy from there and he was so kind. His name was Lee and rides bikes too! I started up the climb and it was pretty chill. Just so scary with no shoulder and cars flying. I got to the top and was completely underwhelmed. That was it?? As I started my way down I had headwind. It made the downhill so frustrating. Cars flying past me and I had to work on a downhill. Stopped at a nice waterfall and met a lady driving from Florida! Kept making my way down and was frustrated because of the wind. It was beautiful with the river and mountains and I was just trying to enjoy it. I got to West Glacier and eventually made it off of US highway 2. It had been 1,150 since I had gotten off it. All the way back in Wisconsin. I made my way to the Binford’s, family friends in Whitefish. I got in a shower and then was blown away by their generosity. Truly incredible. Anything I needed they had or got it for me. All my favorites. I got to hang out with their family and was taken to ice cream and Whitefish lake. What an incredible family. I went to bed and was so happy.
