Day 10 - Build My Life

“For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” 1 Corinthians 3:11

The last 2 days have been pretty empty. I’m trying to remind myself that it is good to rest but often I grow impatient. I woke up after 11 hours of sleep last night. My heart was heavy remembering all those suffering. I got breakfast and met Rick. He works on the railroad so we chatted as I shoved my face full of food. But I was so grateful to have a meal with someone for the first time since I left 🙌. Got going and I knew it was going to be a hot one with few gas stations. I was pretty nervous. It was gonna be 90 so I tried working a bit harder in the morning. I started moving pretty good and felt really motivated to be back on the bike which I was so grateful for. Called mom and dad right as I got going. Got to talk to Papa as well. I called Jonny because I couldn’t figure out something with my instagram and needed his advice. Got to talk to Caleb, Maddie, Emily, and Kaylee. Around 80 I realized that I was actually at 80 miles. I woulda guessed 30 had I not known the time or distance. I was moving strong and it felt so light. At 100 I couldn’t even believe it. What an easy day! So amazing. I climbed a hill and turned a corner and could see the Rockies. It doesn’t even seem real but I can’t wait for tomorrow and the rest of the trip. Called Mom and Dad twice more as I hit some heat. It wasn’t too awful. I’m probably just more used to it now. Definitely grounded the last few hills as I got closer to the hotel where I’m staying. It’s amazing how easy 125 miles feels. Got checked in and got to Mimi and Papa. It’s always such a joy. Showered and then got some Pizza Hut. Called Elise, got some food for tomorrow and then went to bed. Great day. Can’t wait for tomorrow.

Evan WilliamsNice tan! Looks like you making a mucho progress. Also looks like you're making humongous tough on bills with your family. You got to do this trip alone or you going to have it a telephone attached to your head? Keep up the good work!

Holly NelsonHey Jude, Mrs. Nelson here! You are doing incredible. I just shared some highlights of your journal with some of my family, very inspiring. We are praying for you and your safety out on the road. Keep it up! May the Lord be your strength and constant companion during times of exhaustion and loneliness.
