The day started cloudy and cold with hills and road riding. Which lead on to the Canal de la Sambre a l'Oise for 50 kilometers.

The hills and roads made a return, then a forest into Compiegne. The sun came out. Compiegne is a pretty town, with Napoleon's Palace and beautiful gardens.
Compiegne was where the World War One Armistice was signed. The war to end all wars. I arrived late and was unable to do much formal sightseeing, but the town was scenic.
