Pembe Island Ferry to Tanga

Rainy weather throughout the day. The ferry to Pembe Island and Tanga is a late boarding at 10pm.

We go to the docks early. A few kids offer to help us load our bikes on the ferry. The process was a bit unnerving as they grabbed and lifted Rachel's bike by the bags bungeed on the back panniers. There was a foot plus between the dock and the boat. The image of the bike falling into the water flashed through Rachel's thoughts.

The ferry goes overnight, we find a spot downstairs, but Patrick needs to stay on deck to avoid seasickness. We arrive in Tanga around 11am.
