The Clock: Tick .. tock ...
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, cats and dogs, it is with great pleasure that we inform you that A Dutch of Class is now less than one month away! Mesdames et messieurs, les garçons, mesdemoiselles, mes chers chiens et chats, c'est avec un très grand plaisir que nous vous informons que le début de A Dutch of Class est dans moins d'un mois!En effet, dans vingt-huit jours, Pénélope et moi quitterons le travail vers midi, pour nous diriger (tout comme lors du Crossing the Water!) vers la gare de St Pancras pour un train vers Dover Priory. Les trains ce jour-là ... In twenty-eight days, Penelope and I shall leave our offices and head towards St Pancras (just like we did on Crossing the Water!), to catch a train to Dover. The trains that day...
... sont à 12h42, 13h12 et 13h42. Si mes souvenirs sont bons, nous avons pris celui de 13h12, et nous comptons donc faire pareil cette fois-ci. Ça nous fait arriver à Douvres vers 14h02 - disons une demi-heure pour descendre du train et faire les genre 3 km jusqu'au terminal. Les ferry... ... are at 12:42, 13:12 and 13:42. If my memory serves me correctly, we got the 13:12 one last time, and would like to do the same this time. That gets us into Dover at 14:02 - let's say half an hour to get off the train and do the 1.5 miles or so the ferry terminal. The ferries...
Honnêtement, il y a peu de chances pour que l'on chope celui de 14h45 (même en réservant bien à l'avance), et puis donc voilà, l'on espère arriver en France vers dix-huit heures, en prenant le ferry de 15h40... Realistically, there's little chance of getting the 14:45 ferry (even if we reserve well in advance), and so we hope to be getting to France at around six PM, if we get the 15h40 ferry...

Nous attendons avec impatience le grand départ vers de nouveaux horizons - enfin, pour Pénélope au moins! Pour moi, ce sera la seconde fois que j'emprunte le chemin Calais - Amsterdam, comme vous le savez. Et sans doute la dernière fois. We're awaiting the Big Day, when we cycle off towards a new adventure. Well, for Penelope at least. For me, this will be the second time that I find myself on the Calais - Amsterdam route. And probably the last time.
