Introduction
This section begins with our arrival at the Heathrow Airport, where we'll make our way to a hotel in Stains that has agreed to hold our suitcases when we return. We'll stay there two nights and then catch a train to Machynlleth in western Wales, on the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park. From there we'll make our way counterclockwise along the coast at a leisurely pace with short, easy travel days and multiday stays with hikes and day rides. This is more or less what we expect our standard model for travel will be.
At the end of this segment we'll take the train somewhere - either back to London for a premature flight home because something unexpected came up or to the starting sprint of two other roughly three week tours we've got planned out as candidates. We don't know which of them we'll go to if either and probably won't decide until partway through Wales, so there's no point in telling you more at this time.
Oh, yeah: here's the plan for Wales. More than a plan, actually - it's all booked already. Perfectly normal tour, just shorter than we've done in the past.
