Ready To Go

There isn't much to write here while I think what to title this travel journal and how to introduce it. However, since my last trip I've gone hiking. Easy, as there are mountains in my backyard with well maintained trails. And yesterday and today I've been preparing the Kona to go bikepacking with a loaded up with all I'll be carrying test-ride in the forest to see all is running well. It was. Then I lean the bike outside the house and go inside and suddenly hear a hiss; a rushing of air. What is that? I look quizzically out the open window, because that's where it was coming from. I realised then I have a puncture, so I had to spend time fixing that. When that is done I sit for an hour in the garden reading my book while enjoying the fine weather. It will be a few weeks before I can do that again. Although the fingers are crossed that the good weather continues where I'm going, as tomorrow I will take a ferry to Scotland. I have an idea of where I'm going but as always, I'll be playing it by ear.
