Day 2: Kansas City to Windsor
Maintenance on the Bike & the Body
Yesterday did a number on my thighs. When I woke up, I opted to take a “rest day” and focus on fixing up the bike.
This also gave me more time to hang out with Logan.

We were able to shop around Kansas City, and I found myself a new phone mount & even a horn to put on my bike (pictured later)
We grabbed a lunch at Jimmy John’s and I was gifted with a ride to Windsor with my bike in the back of his car!
Since the original plan was to ride the Rock Island trail today, (which turned out to be good I didn’t, it was super muddy) I had a cabin booked at the Katy-Rock Junction. Once I made it to my cabin, I was able to get to work equipping my new additions!
I grabbed dinner at Judy’s Kitchen in Windsor and fueled up for an early morning tomorrow. I’ll be back on the bike, and I won’t have anyone ready to give me a ride through any of the next 800 miles. The real adventure starts now!

Going to call it an early night and prep for my first real night of camping tomorrow! Ride on!
