It has been a couple years since we completed the Northern Tier Route although there has been plenty of shorter cycling adventures. This past winter Rhonda became infected with wanderlust. Then one night she said, "I have an idea", something that always raises my BP. 

We began planning a five week tour starting in Astoria, OR that will eventually take us to eastern Idaho. The basic route will take us along the Adventure Cycling Trans-America Route down the Oregon coast to Lincoln City then a left turn through central Oregon. We will follow the Trans-Am to Idaho and over Lolo Pass into Montana and into Wisdom, Big Hole country. Eventually we will connect with a section of the Great Divide Trail landing us in Island Park, ID. From there we will wander our way towards Driggs, ID.

We leave June 9th from Boise, getting a shuttle from Bryan and Cindi Elliott who were looking for an excuse to go camping on the OR coast. Friends from Idaho Falls will be attending a wedding in Boise on June 8th and will take our car with them back home. 

In the mean  time, bikes are being tuned and readied, gear is being assembled and maps are being read and reread.
