Day 56: Stoney Run Park to Rochester

It was a restful low humidity night camping under the chorus of cicadas. After breakfast and breaking camp, we visited the Vietnam memorial at the county park. Beautiful memorials etched into the marble.  We were mostly on paved county roads today with a small portion of rail trail near Hebron and North Judson (old Erie railroad) and it was an all scenery day of corn and soybeans. We took a few breaks here and there until we reached our Warmshowers host just north of Rochester. After a quick shower, my sister in-law that lives in South Bend picked us up and took us into town for Mexican  dinner.

Thanks to all our Veterans!

Dan DominLooks like you completed another milestone today … 3,000 miles completed! Congrats on pushing through so far, enduring hot sleepless nights, humid steamy days, tough trail sections and the ups and downs of the trail itself. Keep up the push!
