Layover

Jacinto was so excited to go to Venice, he was almost vibrating. It was more fun to watch him that to look at the city sights.

We had purchased two day passes for 35 E each. We rode the feeey all the way around. It was a great way to see all of the buildings. I’m glad we didn’t go with my original idea of staying near the bridge in the area bicycles were allowed.

The ferries do run all day/night. We could have gone late and missed the crowd. It was a throng. I was happy to escape back to quiet Lido. The buildings were beautiful. I’d give Venice another go in the off season. Temperatures were pleasant, as it’s been raining every night. I’m not so happy about that because our bikes are in an open courtyard. Jacinto says they will be dry by morning.

We are at sea level. Now we start the big climb to Glorenza and Stelvio. It will take us five days to get there.

I tried and failed with the Limoncello. Here is a Spritz. That went down better.
