Off to Bourton on the Water
QWe left Moreton on Marsh about 10:30 is morning after delaying our departure by 30 minutes due to a rain shower. We had only a short 33km to ride so there was no rush. It was a typical Cotswolds ride going up hill and down dale on quiet country roads. We passed through a couple of lovely villages especially Upper and Lower Slaughter. The name of the village derives from the Old English word "slohtre" meaning "wet land". We stopped at the Donnington brewery but sadly there were no tastings on offer. We are now in Bourton on the Water. It is a very quaint town and bustling with tourists.
Hilary’s back pack did not make it as planned but was found and delivered to the hotel. For the inconvenience Skedaddle provided free wine. 😀😀
