Moreton in Marsh

Rainy day

LThe weather forecast for today was terrible and sadly it proved to be correct so we decided to pass on cycling this morning and instead went to a falconry.  They had a lovely selection of birds of prey many not in cages.  They offered  a flying demonstration as well but sadly the bird did not cooperate.  So instead we had the opportunity to hold a lovely Variegated Eagle Hawk followed by a flying demonstration of 5 northern kites.
This afternoon Tim, Hilary and I rode to the Cotswolds distillery for a gin and whiskey tasting.  I was unimpressed but Tim and Hilary liked the offering and bought something.  We rode straight back to Moreton in Marsh because we thought H&C were moving to another town.  But true to form Christopher, who is very good at causing things to happen, managed to negotiate a room here tonight so they did not have to move.  It really is for the best because it makes things much easier for our departure tomorrow.

A selection of eagles including a bald eagle.

I did say that dogs can go everywhere. Here is lady with her 3 in the cafe at the arboretum that shares the grounds with the falconry centre.

Another use for hotel shower caps other than under a helmet. They really do keep your feet dry.
