Day 3 - Keep Me in the Moment
26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?…But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:26 and 33
Such a blessing I don’t even have to worry about tomorrow. I know the Lord has got me. Today was such a joy. I was worried about some things least night and God seemed to resolve them. Such as motivation, slight twinges, and energy. Today was honestly pretty easy until the last 35 miles. I forgot to mention yesterday that I also helped a lady named Nat move a big tree and I slept by a waterfall! I called Dad early on in the morning for directions. He is so helpful. It was unreal how thorough it is. So undeserving. Got some breakfast sandwiches at 35 and then it started raining at about 85 and after I layered up Papa called. Such a joy to not even have to think about the rain. About 2-3 seconds after he hung up Caleb called again. I hardly had to think about the rain once! We chatted until it stopped and then about 15 minutes later Lucas, William, and Noah called and got to talk with them for a long time. So good. Mom called and it makes me so happy to see the family. I just turned into the wind which made it frustrating as I was 135 miles in. I hung up but called Dad back shortly for more directions. I then got to talk with Ellis for so long. Amazing. He talked me as I made it to Lake Superior and Minnesota. I had a climb the last 2 miles to my hotel so then hung up. I messed up the reservation for the hotel so they gave me the honey moon suite! Plus a massive gas station dinner for so cheap. I’m living large here. Oh also had some pizza for lunch as I talked with Noah and William. Overall a great day but exhausted! Good night. Pictures should now all be in for the last 3 days.
2 last thoughts. I was on the verge of crying all of today because of how happy I was. It was amazing to get so many calls and to have people love me so well. I do not deserve it. Secondly, God is so clear here. A trailer passed me that said “vaya con Dios”. Mr. Todd will often say that to me and I’m sure to others as well. What a strange coincidence that I’m sure couldn’t have been anything but God. I love you all. Thank you so much for loving me.
