Band of Brothers

It felt like an early start today with us needing to meet our tour at 8:20 which still feels like midnight Denver time when the alarm goes off. With a quick coffee and some breakfast we made it the van with minutes to spare.

Today we are touring the D-Day beach with overlord tours and a trusty and knowledgable guide, Ben. We set off in a 9 seater van, Ben our guide, 6 Americans with strange souther accents and Kathy and I.

It was a very well executed tour but with a rather somber story of various mishaps and mistakes that lead to a lot of loss of life during the landing. If you have any interest in the events of that time it is well worth doing the tour.
