Actually, Andrew, I don't know anything about Smecta except that I loved the name. I, too, am glad you posted it because I will for sure need the stuff in the future as well. I've been mighty sick in S.E. Asia many times. Not so much lately but in the '70's I basically had dysentery all the time. If the food wasn't contaminated then it was so on fire that it stripped the linings of my intestines!

yeh they are aren't they. That's a great thing about Vietnam - good standard of accom at very cheap prices. Get the odd failure here and there and I've walked out of a couple but the vast majority are good.

Mirror-on-the-wall place with a love blanket and a basket of small towels. Yeah, we've stayed in those too and for the most part they are perfectly fine, clean, quiet, and safe.
