That is impressive and the roads looks like it is paved in gold! Well done.

It is so wonderful to see that you are having so much fun (finally). This is what bike touring should be all about. Looking forward to seeing what is next for you two intrepid cyclists.

It is always a pleasant surprise to me when I try a solution that I was not confident work and it does. It inevitably provides a great story and I try to remind myself to be more open to taking a risk!

We are so enjoying your blog. We are old and slow, so our bike adventures are much less adventurous! So much fun for us to follow you. I wish we had discovered bike touring years ago. I am not sure we could have been as brave as you two though! However, there is one advantage to being old and slow and going to Europe. It is the bakeries and gelato 😂.

Myla Houlihan commented on Day 12: Rain and crazy roads

Loved reading this:
"The grade was mellow enough that we could chat and things started to feel good again—we laughed, talked about our lives at home, our friends, all the future things in the US we couldn’t wait to do and eat." :)

And the part about Erin closing her eyes in the hail/rain, and dreaming about tropical beaches and hot tea. Positive thinking goes a long way!
