European breakfasts plus being able to sleep under a fluffy quilt, not to mention creaking joints, put an end to camping for us.
3 months agoUntil recent events to our south we were much more discreet, only hanging the 2 small Canada luggage tags from our rear panniers. Somehow, though, we don't like being bullied and are now carrying as big a flag as we can.

3 months agoDon't knock the wood pigeon! It's always an ever present bird that first welcomes us cycle tourers to Europe with its soothing cooing!
3 months agoEver since we gave up camping, the European hotel breakfast have us pretty spoiled. That'll get you going in the morning, Steve.

3 months agoOk, now it failed. Fortunately we found one at Cortes Ingles. Now the dead one is on my back in a backpack. Either we will mail it home, or be brave and dump it ($1500) in a garbage!
