There should be a rule that you can add this to your bird count.

hello dear friends
We have been following you since your departure! Enjoy this N630, a real motorway for bikes!
We were often alone for several km! We travelled it a few years ago already!
We wish you a great adventure, great encounters and above all good weather!

Truly a fabulous ride. We are now eagerly looking forward to the next few days all the way down to Sevilla.

Definitely an eagle, but I don’t think a golden one. I think it’s a short-toed snake eagle.

I knew you’d love this road. It’s like this for a long way in both directions. A biking superhighway.

Thanks for filling in the gaps in our understanding.

Even with no religious background we find the detail of the artwork truly impressive.

Actually they apparently were, a sort of end of winter celebration, but it was all over by the time we worked our way back to the Plaza several hours later.

Perhaps as Ash Wednesday will be this coming week, maybe something for Mardi Gras? Just guessing..

That is a lot of work on those costumes ( if this is the proper term) for their clothing .

Miter is the proper description but, yes, a type of “hat”.. The point on it used to frighten me when I was a child because I did not understand why the Bishop wore it yet our parish priest didn’t. One of my classmates said “it’s pointed up, as if he (thinks) he is higher to God”… Not a bad reasoning for a grade schoooler.

Such detail! This lost art is why museums and churches are worth the trip.

Great name! :) It doesn’t resemble Mission Dolores nor St. Mary’s Cathedral, however. Old age churches get the better nod of respect.

So, are the city officials, construction workers and maintenance staff going to have a par-tay?
