Tom always said P.E., so we must abbreviate it that way in the US. Tom was proud of his P.E. and took courses to keep it current. -Mark

Yes, it is. I think they want you to remove the wheel. I've taken this train to St Albans to meet Tom's Canada tour in 2022, and I had to take the wheel off. I just laid it on the floor underneath. -Mark

I can’t tell from the photo but isn’t the bike hanging by its front wheel?

Your planning thought processes sound like mine! Also a retired P.Eng. (as we abbreviate it in Canada).

Thai cave rescue had a lot of media coverage here in Oz because the two caving experts who carried out the rescue were Aussies. One was a doctor and the other a vetinarian.

Hi Tom
I did the P'tit Train du Nord last year. I was camping, so I won't be much help with the lodging, except that I stayed in Maniwaki at Chateau Logue because of foul weather. I can recommend it. The room was huge and two of us had ample room to spread out our wet gear. From there we took the Véloroute des Draveurs, which was beautiful, but there were parts that were a slog on the soft surface, and I'm running 50mm tires. Still a far more pleasant option than the high speed traffic on the 105.
Looking forward to reading about your trip. Happy trails.
