We have been using TourMed for the past 10 years or so. It is a Canadian company, based in Quebec. Of course the price goes up with every year of additional age. We have found them to be relatively easy to deal with on the couple of occasions where we (sadly) needed to put in a claim. Where and when are you planning your next trip?
1 month agoDear Grampies, I am a faithful follower of your journals and depend on them quite a lot to plan my bike trips. Sorry to read of your accident here and glad that you have always made good recoveries. Could you recommend a travel insurer for cyclists over 70 who will be biking in Europe? Thank you,
Nancy R
June 20th to July 20th this summer I plan to bike from Paris to Dieppe on the Avenue Verte, Route du Lin, train to Caen (I am on a 2007 Bike Friday and 71 years old, so I try to avoid steep hills), Velo Francette, Angers to Nantes, and then either the Regalante or Velodysee for a bit, then take train to Paris. Read in your journals about your travels on these routes; it was very helpful and gave me most of my ideas for this trip. Thanks for the info about travel insurance; wish I was Canadian to qualify.
