Hi Scott, I did find Pedro tire levers a few years ago. They are definitely much better than the usual ones. As for touring, it's (obviously) going to be a while before I can get back out, but such is life.

Hi, Stephanie. Great to see you on this site. I’m really looking forward to following you and I see I have a lot of catching up to do. I think I should start in Istanbul and follow you north first. In the meantime though, I noted your comment about the difficulty of mounting Schwalbe Marathons. They used to be my bane also. In case you haven’t found them already, I recommend you try out Pedro tire levers. They’re great. I no longer worry about being stuck with a flat tire on an empty road, cursing a pair of broken levers.
