1 week agoWhat a great looking ride!
1 week agoThis is probably “Cycling Without Age’, an organization that started in Copenhagen. We have a few of these in Canmore and Kirsten is a ‘pilot’. She usually does 2-3 rides a week from two seniors homes and the long term care at our hospital. Such a great program! CWA had their worldwide annual meeting in Canmore several years ago and we hosted the fellow who started the whole thing. Great time was had by all (and much wine consumed too!) Just showed the picture to K and she confirms, it’s one of their trikes.
1 week agoVery touching. Thank you for sharing.

1 week agoWhat a special experience this must have been for you, Karen. We've biked past so many cemeteries like this now - all of them mesmerizing scenes, stupefying expanses of glistening white crosses on a field of green. No one in either of our families served overseas though so we don't have a known personal connection. I can only imagine what emotions that must invoke.
1 week agoGreat to follow your trip, Karen!
1 week agoThank you, Grampies! I am still in awe of this day.
Back on 🚲 later! More photos from another ride yet to come!
Lovely that you were able to visit. It always brings me to tears to think of how young all those boys, for really most of them were just that, were.
