I go to museums mainly to humor Tom. I prefer aquariums or natural scenery. -Mark

I'm surprised you are only the 2nd person to visit since 1944. I've been visiting Tom's grave almost every day (I only live about 2 miles away) and reading a chapter from his first tour. I plan to go through all of them one-by-one. I have a lot of material for many days!

So nice of that couple to adopt his grave.

Yes.. get out of Amsterdam! Unless you are strictly a museum lover, all of the true Dutch flavors and cultures are in the countryside.

I just posted 6 photos of various tulips, taken on our first trip to Keukenhof, in 2018. Saving you the airfare, but obliging your wish of tulip photos!
It’s headlined under my Santa Cruz journal.. Hope that is ok!

Nice! I've only been to the Netherlands once for a week. We stayed in Amsterdam. It was in March and quite cold. It was also boring. I think I really missed out by staying in Amsterdam instead of going to the countryside to see all these things. Perhaps one day. -Mark

Problematic for anyone in this situation with too many thoughts going through each persons mind at ONE time. However, a definite thud would not be a good thing. The weight of the bike plus all four people would not make for a “soft” landing…

Actually, it was more like a Zumba session! NOT “zen-like”, at all..😂

Tulips are usually only in full bloom in the earlier months..aka..winter.. You will have to see them for yourself at Keukenhof Gardens, in Lisse, Netherlands. ( South Holland) ..however I have been there before and will post a photo for you from that trip, as my trip next year is going to be in September.

Karen, when you click on your journal (i.e., Santa Cruz, CA), at the top will be a few buttons. You want the one on the second row that says Change Order. From there you can move things around by dragging the 4 horizontal lines to the right of each entry. When you're done, don't forget to click the Save Changes button.

I see the windmill and the wooden shoes. Now, tulips would complete the trifecta! Perhaps it will come in a future blog. -Mark

I wonder if this is harder to fall over when everyone is on board. I road with my brother-in-law yesterday on a road bike and he hit the pavement trying to make a U-turn at slow speed. I wonder if this quad tandem bike fall over since all 4 bikers would have to "fall." Unless everyone's clipped in, presumably the ones that weren't "falling" would just plant their feet down and hold the bike up? -Mark
