I presume this was all provided by the tour company? Did you have to carry it yourself, or did someone else carry it? You might have mentioned this before, but are you riding an eBike or a regular bike that they provided for you? -Mark

I live in the DC area and am not surprised in DC, but I guess I've always thought Europe as "safe" even though I've traveled there often. In the bad neighborhoods of DC, even the carryout restaurants have these types of things INSIDE the counter. -Mark

The Stavoren sculpture is based upon a Dutch painting and not an actual fish type..

Unfortunately there’s no fact about this fish, other than the knowledge it’s 1) a nod to the town’s history with fish and 2) the sculpture is modeled after “one fish, two fish”, as in the chain of what eats what, so to speak…

To keep thieves out.. unfortunately, this is a high foot traffic area of tourism and “not so loved”, locals..

Yes..the farmers wear them, mostly because of the mud. ( it’s a rural thing) and part of their Dutch heritage.
