Hi Rachel, yes I read the Forum that you guys and many others also got booted - stunning isn't it. What was Patrick's actual crime? Me, in 8 years there I had previously never looked at the forum. Regularly though I would look at the recently rated photos on the home page - that day I noticed a forum post had been rated with mixed reviews 5/3 and thought, that looks interesting. Clicked on it - clicked disagree to the comment about stopping the fraud, agree with Wayne's comment and disagree with a later comment that masks don't work - got booted for that.
I often thought about in your journals - I think u were in Vietnam when Trump got elected and u commented negatively to it (fair enough) and when u rode out of Dushanbe u took a beautiful picture of a Tajik man with the perfect comment something like - so Mr Trump, are these the people we are supposed to be afraid of. Looking back and now knowing that Neil is a Trumpist - he would've hated those things!
It's mind boggling to me that anyone with any semblance of intelligence can not see how bad Trump was/is and more so, that the person trying to steal the election was Trump. Neil is obviously intelligent to be able to set up such a great site as he did.
He's now just burning down his excellent life long work.
Read your qu about RidewithGPS and u seemed to get your answers. I particularly like that feature over here because I tour with that app and all of my rides are saved on RidewithGPS so it was just a matter of embedding my actual GPS route. For my earlier rides such as the Himalayan ride I'm currently migrating over when I didn't have Ridewith - I plot a new route and embed that.
I suspect u will be fine with this but if u need help yell out.
Good luck,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Patrick got us off that other site too...sounds like it might have been the same thread...
We are in process of shifting the journals to cycleblaze. So far seems like a very welcoming site.

Hi ya Frank, nice to hear from you. Yeh, tunnels a bit cramped and I had to stoop a bit. I reckon you'd be a bit taller than me so tougher for you. Believe the Chu Chi tunnels near Saigon are much smaller.
Yes, Mandarin Cafe was excellent.
Bui Vien road has gotten much busier since my 1st visit in 2013.

Not long to go now until we can get vaccine and hit the road again.

Cheers,

Andrew

Mate great read as usual lots of memories for me how did you fit in the tunnels I had to struggle in some places,The Mandarin Cafe I discovered this place first backpacking tour Vietnam and have been back many time even getting a room close by so I could walk there for coffee and chat with owner Mr Cu.
Hai Van Pass have done that twice amazing ride but I skipped Danang and pressed on to Hoi Ain and Bu Vein Road a woman where I worked said her son owned a cafe there so I found that and had a few meals there so many memories for me thanks for sharing.
