hi! how long did it take you to ride from Myrdal to Flam? trying to gauge if we'll be able to make a cruise to Bergen in time

1 year agoPrior to a tour in Germany last year, I bought some good rubber booties to put over my cycling shoes. They have zippers on the sides and do a great job of keeping you dry. :) I think they are called Frogg Troggs.

Gina, I have never figured out to reply to comments so my husband worked it out this morning. As to Myrdal to Flam plan on a couple of hours depending on how slow you ride the hair pin gravel turns. I was much slower and timid but better riders would do it more quickly. There can be a lot of riders on the trail that make it more hazardous. The other alternative is there is a zip line at the top in Myrdal that will hook your bikes up so both you and your bike can zipline down to the valley and then ride the rest of the way into into Flam on the valley floor. The ride was signature and I hope you can do it. Let us know what you wind up doing.
