Winlock was my day 1 stopping point on this year's STP - your picture of the giant egg is much better than mine!

Are you superstitious about the 13th? Do you always skip that date?

Hi Jeanna,
You had such an amazing trip. We may have to follow in your tire tracks next year! We are just shy of Portland. We were booking some places in Washington as we head north after Portland! Once we get back to the van we plan to head south for the winter. I just can't imagine stopping right now. There's so much to see!

Congratulations on another milestone. Soon you'll be home and ready to start out on the next trip. Everyone asks if we aren't so glad to be home, but, as much as we enjoy seeing our friends, there's a lot to be said for life on the road.

Of course! How could I forget ground floor and bananas!

Ground floor rooms for bikers, bananas at breakfast would be my additions.

In the old days, the Weather Channel on the TV was useful - in the WiFi/cell phone age, not so much.

At cheapie places: a door that actually reaches the floor is always nice...

Thanks Nancy. Now we leave your route and head West toward Checkerboard, White Sulpher Springs, Townsend and Helena! We love Montana!

The mountains you were looking at today were most likely the Crazy Mountains. The hills and mountains surrounding Harlowton are especially beautiful at sundown!

Turgite? Scutum? It's another vocabulary! You're amazing.

Well, there are ID keys on the internet, but they want to know details that do not show up.

I wouldn't know where to begin to try to identify the different species.

Nice! Got a bumble bee busy pollinating a sunflower.

Was going to try and ID the bee species, but there are over 25 species in Montana! Who knew?
