Hey, thanks for the info! It looked like it was probably the right street but I couldn’t see any evidence of tracks on it.

This was actually one of three restaurant trams which carried 36 patrons for lunch and dinner and travelled over the network while doing so
Unfortunately the trams were deemed unsafe about 2018 and withdrawn from service.

It is so disheartening losing a roll of film like that, or coming back and discovering it was spoiled somehow. Our entire 2001 trip to Italy and Croatia was marred this way, when I found after everything was developed that the lens cover was getting stuck half shut for most of the trip.

I think I’ve found everything. Interestingly, they were in different clouds. Most were in One Drive, but I also found a subset of them in Google Photos. The ones in One Drive I assume were backed up from the iPad. The ones in Google Photos puzzled me though, until I saw that some were captioned. These must have come from my Panoramio account (Panoramio was an image sharing app that was swallowed by Google and integrated into Google Earth). Apparently the images themselves still live in Google.

It seems fantastic that your photos were out (up?) there all along. Unlike my photos from hiking the West Coast Trail, which proved nonexistent when I went to collect my photos from the processor, only to discover that the film hadn’t been advancing and I’d rewound a completely blank strip of plastic.

The Cloud parted and the sun shone through. Glad you found (some of) your pics. And thanks for trailblazing remote work.

My primary NAS device crashed a while back, illustrating in dramatic fashion how lax I had gotten in doing backups to the secondary NAS. The good news was that for the most part I hadn't put any vital documents on it, and the one thing I really did need was also saved elsewhere.

What I thought was lost and gone forever were the photos from my 2022 Rejuvenation tour out west. I could have downloaded the ones I had posted in the journal, of course, but many others seemd gone for good..

Some while later, I discovered that Google had quietly backed them all up, when I was using the external card reader connected to my phone to get the ones I wanted from my camera.

I hope you can locate yours. Clearly they're out there somewhere.
