What a wonderful host and guide. I'm amazed that you had the energy to go out and see the sites in Burlington, but obviously so worth it. Loving the photos and stories.

2 years agoAll this way I’ve been thinking, “I’d like to do something like this”, thenI got to this page 😖 Watching the roads shrink and the trails shrink and the grass get taller and the mud get deeper was brutal. Chin up, you got this, just remember, Google is evil! 😈

2 years agoSleeping on asphalt is impossible. Back when we rode from Oberlin, we used foam pads, but we tried to find an an area that wasn’t too hard to sleep on. Plus we were young, which helps a lot. The best was the giant mountain of shredded computer paper at the local recycling facility we found in PA. We burrowed in like giant worms in our sleeping bags. Plus the guy who worked there made us breakfast in the morning.

I’m really enjoying the photos you choose to post. Great reading the descriptions of your travels and the people you are meeting, too.
