Quite a good looking crowd!

We rode the Sella Ronda today (thanks for giving us the inspiration to do this in you Fibonacci journal). We were layer up exactly as you were! Both rides are spectacular. We also owe you kudo’s for the Nan ride we did in 2023. Noticed that you only saw one Postie van the first time you did it, and that was our experience too in 2023. This seems to be an unknown gem of a ride.

At home, I never ride in the rain if I can possibly avoid it!

Better you than me. My hands were so cold when we stopped for lunch I couldn’t get my own helmet buckle undone or lift the teapot to pour.

Looking forward to following along. We'll be closely following your route as we'll be in the same region in a few weeks time.

We stayed there last year as well. Can’t forget those bottles!

Trains and bikes are a nasty combination but getting hypothermia is worse. Hindsight is such a marvellous thing but you only know what you should have done after you are finished. Glad you had that hot lunch and were able to access your hotel early.

I hope today goes better weather wise. We were glad we didn’t have to ride yesterday as it hovered around 7 all day and rained.

I think the temperature the previous day was more typical. This was a nasty storm that rolled in and in hindsight, we should have explored taking a train part way but Al hates taking trains with a bike.

On so many days on our tour just ended, we would get those single digit temperatures to start, even if might reach over 20 by afternoon. But in Lyon in late May, surely, it should have been ok. Like Scott says, though, better days are coming.

Every tour has a low point and I hope this was it.

I'm so sorry. I was thinking about you two all day hoping it wasn't going too badly for you. It looks like we've got a great streak ahead though.

Bon voyage for your trip. We will be following along as we do some of your previous climbs.
