These are dragonfruit plantations. We were on this route a year ago, it’s great but the roads we were on were under construction with a lot of stones. Glad you found better ones!
6 years agoThis looks very much like the Yucatan Peninsula where we are cycling now. Often we have had to move over to pass by a dog asleep on the road. Grampies
6 years agoIt’s “broom season”. They gather this grass and make it into the soft, swishy brooms you see in the markets there.
