Thanks for taking the time to share all of these wonderful details on your experience. Nice to see such positive messages and good memories of the ride. Mic is a good pacer. She can be waiting with a cold beverage at each landing point. What's that saying? It's not the destination but the journey that is important?? Safe riding my friend!

I’m can’t believe that after 75 miles you had to climb that hill to get over sylvan pass (8534 feet) the screaming downhill on the backside was terrifying in a car …..can’t imagine what you were feeling on the bike (oh yeah the wind didn’t help either ) omg …..great job love 💕

That postcard thing can get costly you know. We started sending weekly postcards to our 6 grandkids from every European tour (actually 3 cards in one envelope is the same price as an individual card) and can't stop now. It adds up rather quickly, but after all, it's only money!
1 week agoWishing you strong legs, smooth roads, and wide-open skies, as you set off on this epic ride from Montana to Michigan. It’s more than fitting that your journal log begins on World Bike Day—there couldn’t be a better day to document your inspiring adventure. We’ll be cheering you on from afar, excited to follow along as the miles, stories, and pictures unfold. Pedal on, Ian!
1 week agoHere's wishing you good weather, tailwind and many FFDs (flat free days). The worst we ever had was trying to get in to Granada, in Spain, this past spring. 3 blow out flats within 10 minutes, until we realized the problem was a disintegrating tire that had been cut by too high brake pads. Crawled our way the last 15 or so kilometres using only the front brakes and keeping our fingers crossed. We would never wish that on anyone!
