1 month agoMakes me think of Val Jalbert!
1 month agoThanks Jacquie I didn’t think of that but it is a really great suggestion. As my SPD cleats are very slippery. A added safety that I will appreciate.
1 month agoI’ve worn my walking shoes to carry my bike and switched to riding shoes at the bottom. Not so bad with my current shoes but the ones I had before had no tread left and the SPD cleat was slippery.
1 month agoHaha. Good one!! The carrying was ok but the stairs are ‘leaning downward’ so I am a bit worried about tripping on the way down!!! Fingers crossed 🤞

1 month agoI think I have almost the exact same photo from our visit to Orta San Giulio in the fall of 2023 - except - the piazza was a lot busier at that time. My wife and her Italian teacher were having lunch under the white umbrellas when I came through on a day ride around the lake.
1 month agoWe really loved OSG, but we were here in late October - not hot, not crowded, just right.
1 month agoGreat expression.
1 month agoOh! I'll bet that's the too long typunnel we dropped through going the other direction.
1 month agoI wondered if you might take this loop. It's one I've thought back on many times. Thanks for giving me an excuse to go back and refresh my memory.
1 month agoYum! I love burrata but Al’s not so keen.
1 month agoIt’s a burrata….. just four ingredients, tomato sauce that’s added before it’s baked, then proccuitto, a whole burrata and basil is added once baked. I make this quite often at home, and this one was ok, but mine if far better IMHO (this one needs much more basil). I’ll send you an email with a pic of mine.
