Once again up early and quit early, but now that I think about it I probably shouldn’t have quit so soon. I’m 10 miles from the border and it was early enough when I got to Santa Rosa de Lima that I could have made it across today, leaving me better placed for tomorrow’s ride. But there wouldn’t have been any pictures if I had. My phone got so hot the camera stopped working. Actually everything stopped working and I ended up cooling it down with ice cubes in order to find my hotel. A nice enough place, the A/C works. I keep thinking I still might go later in the afternoon, but it’s 4 pm and 103 outside, so maybe not.
There is so much advertising. Banners over streets, signs on poles. At first I thought the over street banners were festival stuff but it’s all advertising. Mostly commercial, some political. San Miguel was like this too, overpowering
