Just cruising along the Potomac

Washington DC

Here are some pictures from our dinner cruise.

Step one - get to the station.

Step two - get on the correct train. We wondered if they would have allowed us to bring the tandem on the train? It would have fit as long as there weren't many people standing in that area.

The Metro is a subway most of the time.

The Odessey was our dinner cruise tonight. Kind a weird barge-like shape.

Inside was elegant and they had a dance floor!

We had to cross underneath several low bridges. A couple of these were the ones that Captain Scully had to avoid when crash landing his plane.

The National War College.

Interesting sculpture that kind of looks like a dancer.

The Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Memorial.

Old homes along the waterfront.

This is the Titanic Memorial. It was erected in 1931 and honors those men who lost their lives so as to save the women and children. Many notable residents of DC were traveling first class on the ship.

Evening lights on the river.
