Carol signed us up for another day. She had one room left! What a sweetie. She put it on hold as soon as I asked here but the longer we waited the more it rained so we just decided to take a rain day.

Research. We may do the ECG instead of the Outer Banks. We have enjoyed the route so much. There's an inner route up through North Carolina and a more coastal route. I think we will take the middle road!

By 2ish, the rain let up and we went out to find some lunch. We had a nonmemerable meal at a seafood spot. It was crowded because it was a buffet with way too much food for us so we ordered off the menu and shared a dish with fried oysters, broiled scallops and broilded flounder. The scallops were good...

Waterway right next to the carnival area. Town is still quiet. It's early for tourists

A fun kiddie pool at the hotel down the street. The bowl fills with water and tips over emptying out. Plus all the plumbing leaks a nice spray onto anyone underneath.
