62 miles of Wisconsin backroads

Fond Du Lac to Portage

We were up at 5am and out the door by 7:15 this morning which was no small feat considering there were four of us packing up and eating breakfast and trying to get going! I left some things in the frig- darn. Soon we were on the Wild Goose Trail.

No traffic again today. Just miles and miles of farmland.

It was beautiful. We had a southwest wind today and we were heading southwest so it kept us cool.

Nancy WrightThe bird is a Sand Hill Crane. If you are headed toward Reedsburg, there is the International Crane Foundation, which has many types of cranes and lots of information about them. It's on Shady Lane north of Baraboo.
