I waited a bit to get going. John had a sewing issue which delayed his start. A bald Eagle flew by Leech Lake while I was still at the house. Just as I was about to start out, it sprinkled, but only for a few minutes. It turned out to be a great cycling day. Good roads mostly, a few hills and a nice tailwind.
We averaged 17 mph. We were on the Mississippi River Trail and the Great River Road, which are roads, not bike/ped trails. Lunch was at a rest area near one of the many lakes. We were able to get into the room at about 1:30.
