Day 12 and 13 - Seattle to Portland: with 10,000 of our closest friends

These two days were hmmm... how to describe it? Exhilarating? excruciating? amazing? frustrating? exciting? exhausting? How about all of the above! We left Seattle on time, at 6:00 am on July 15 and arrived in Portland at 4:30 pm on July 16. After two grueling long days in the saddle, we had done almost as much mileage as our first 11 days! I won't write a lot, and if you are interested in the route we took, you can look up The Cascades Cycling Club STP ride. Surfice it to say, it was an experience!

some happy riders before the ride begins - are we really ready for this?

our first lunch stop - notice I am smiling here. The last time I did STP, I was not looking so good at the lunch stop - I almost had to drop out the heat was really bad. Today, we were good to go!
