For some reason, I'm more interested in your name than your gear list. Is the word "tire" really tucked into the middle of your last name? If so, very appropriate--and those VEE Speedsters must be pretty nice. If not, I'm still happy to see you've found Cycleblaze in which to post your journal.

Great journal, and welcome to the Cycleblaze community! I rode the Transam in 2015 - like you, I started solo although I did meet others along the way. The Transam was my first long self-supported tour and will always be the fondest memory. It was great reading your journal and remembering and re-living many of the places and sights along the route.
