Hey Steve,
Re the log splitter:
Unless you actually have to put in a competitve tender if the Gummint is buying you can usually charge what you like and they will usually pay.
It is not their money after all!

Yes, it conjures an image of our government huddled around some decorative fireplace in the legislature, trying to stay alive with firewood split by the Speaker of the House. Even more frightening is that they forgot to illicitly buy a chain saw to go with it.

Apparently the Speaker [of the Legislature] inquired about the reason for buying the wood splitter and was told if a crisis occurred at the legislature there could be a need to split a tree for fire wood.

Makes Victoria sound like the back of beyond!

Ok fine - that splitter is partly made in Canada, a possible plus for the two accused legislative executives!

Yes, we would really like another Drumroaster tete a tete.
Today Dodie only half made it. I will post that report.

She did go crazy and selected the date bar. (Actually, Chunky Monkeys were all gone). We judged the date bar to be lacking in dates, though.

Dodie is a smart woman. Drumroaster is a wonderful goal. We will call next time we are heading up island for another visit there. Wish we could have joined you today. We are so happy this knee is cooperating. And if she couldn’t quite make it to Drumroaster today, I hope you did and brought her back a Chunky Monkey! She deserves one.

How about this - Dodie wants to cycle to Drumroaster for breakfast tomorrow! Only thing, we are now so lazy that would be at 10 o'clock or later.

That’s fantastic! Thinking about the wonderful desserts in Austria is a great motivator.

Ouch!! That looks like one of the grandkids went crazy with a Swingline stapler! Anyway, glad to hear things are coming along...

Is seems that color strips on the sock are oriented in the wrong direction. Happy recovering.
